Daisy Lowe looked stunning as she walked onto the GQ Men Of The Year Awards red carpet.

Wearing a plunging black gown, the model also displayed her slim legs through the dress's split panel skirt.

But while the ensemble was on the perfect side of sophisticated sexy, sadly a slight wardrobe malfunction left Daisy, 24, showing off more of her knickers than she was hoping to.

Despite the flash of her undies - which may well have been part of the dress - Daisy's sultry red lips draws attention to her English rose face, with a sweep of black eye-liner on her upper lids to finish off the vintage look.

With her hair tousled into loose waves past her shoulders, the model exuded retro sex appeal, enhanced by the diamond and pearl necklace, statement ring and velvet handbag that accessorised the outfit.

Finished off with a pair of red patent T-bar heels, Daisy certainly wanted to make an entrance to the mens' magazine Awards on Tuesday night.

The former Doctor Who arrived with another woman on his arm, but thankfully for single Daisy, it was his sister.

No doubt the event would have drudged up fond memories for the pair, as they attended the 2011 GQ Awards as a couple.

The popstar had arrived just in time to present the Designer Award to Tom Ford, but also made sure to give a shout out to his friend Pharrell Williams, who won Performer Of The Year.

Daisy enjoyed the masculine show with her friend Alexa Chung, who had arrived back into the country from America a few days before.

But Jenna Coleman tried out a whole new look as she got to work on the set of new BBC costume drama, Death Comes To Pemberley, on Sunday. 

Ditching her usual modern threads in favour of full period dress, the 27-year-old actress appeared to be in high spirits as she shot scenes for the forthcoming television adaptation of the P.D. James novel by the same name.

Wearing her dark brunette locks teased into perfect ringlets and piled on top of her head, the Doctor Who star looked pretty as a picture in a billowing, scoop-neck cream gown as she got into the of Lydia Wickham, the sister of Pride and Prejudice heroine Elizabeth Bennett.

Grinning from ear-to-ear as she got to know her new co-stars, Jenna was seen chatting to Welsh actor Matthew Goode, who plays the dashing Mr Darcy, as they took a break from filming. 

The three-part BBC adaptation of the novel will air over the Christmas period, and was timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the publication of Jane Austen classic, Pride and Prejudice.

Although far removed from the original tome, international bestseller Death Comes To Pemberley imagines the marriage of Elizabeth Bennett - played by Anna Maxwell Martin - and Darcy (Rhys) six years on from their initial union. 

The tale sees the pair preparing for their annual ball when Lydia - played by Jenna - arrives on the scene, bringing both a sudden halt to the proceedings and a murder investigation on top of that.

Although she is concentrating on her new project, Jenna joined in the excitement on Sunday as Peter Capaldi was officially announced as the twelfth Time Lord in a 35-minute show, entitled Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor, hosted by Zoe Ball.

Taking over from current Doctor Matt Smith, who will bow out of the iconic role in this year's Christmas Special, the 55-year-old actor will first be seen on screen in 2014. 

Jenna said in a statement: 'I'm so excited Peter Capaldi is the man taking on the challenge of becoming the Twelfth Doctor.

'With Steven's writing and his talent I know we'll be making an amazing show with an incredible incarnation of number 12. I can't wait to start this new adventure!'

Peter Capaldi has been revealed as the twelfth Doctor Who.

The 55-year-old actor, best known for playing Malcolm Tucker in The Thick Of It, was announced as the new Time Lord in Sunday's live BBC TV special.

The Scot's appointment comes two months after Matt Smith announced he was quitting following four years as the time-traveller.

Peter, a lifelong Doctor Who fan who won an Oscar for Live Action Short Film in 2005, admitted he found keeping his new job a secret from his daughter Cecily difficult.

He said: 'It's so wonderful not to keep this secret any longer.

'For a while I couldn't tell my daughter. She was reading the rumours on the internet and getting upset that they weren't mentioning me. I kept saying "Rise above it, rise above it."'

Peter admitted he used to play Doctor Who as a child growing up in Glasgow, and was thrilled he was able to play it as an adult.

He enthused: 'I'm a lifelong Doctor Who fan. I haven't played it since I was nine. As an adult actor I've never worked on it.

'(For the audition) I downloaded some old scripts from the internet and pracitised that in front of the mirror.'

Big secret: Peter admitted it was difficult hiding his big new role from family and friends

Speaking about the casting of Peter, executive producer and head writer Stephen Moffat said: 'We got the 12th person around and made a home video of him being the Doctor and showed it to the relevant people, and everyone said "Yes, that's the Doctor."'

Moffat continued: 'It's an incendiary combination: one of the most talented actors of his generation is about to play the best part on television. Peter Capaldi is in the TARDIS!'

As fans of the show will know Peter has previously appeared in small roles in an episode of Doctor Who and its spin-off Torchwood.

He plays a character called Caecilius in a 2008 episode entitled The Fires of Pompeii, and the role of John Frobisher in 2009 episode of Torchwood entitled Children of Earth.

Sunday's live reveal episode was shown simultaneously on BBC America so UK and US viewers found out his identity as the same time.

The 35 minute show, entitled Doctor Who Live: The Next Doctor, was hosted by Zoe Ball.

Matt, who joined the show in 2010, will appears in his last scenes in the Christmas Special, with the 12th Doctor appearing in 2014, joining current assistant Jenna Coleman, who plays Clara.

She said in a statement: 'I'm so excited Peter Capaldi is the man taking on the challenge of becoming the Twelfth Doctor.

Reflecting on his Time as the Doctor, Matt said: 'I'll miss playing a character who can bounce from A-Z and be the smartest in the room and the silliest in the room... what a character!

Speaking about his successor, Matt remarked: 'I just want to wish my successor all the best and just say good luck and good on your for getting it.

The latest actor to be cast in the role comes as the show plans to mark its 50th anniversary with a special episode.

The anniversary episode on November 23 - exactly 50 years after the first episode was broadcast - will feature Matt and Jenna, as well as stars of previous series David Tennant, Billie Piper and John Hurt.

Emilia Clarke graced the popular HBO series' panel wearing a sexy red form-fitting dress and a proud, beaming smile.

The 26-year-old English actress was joined at the world famous convention by her castmates as well as an array of smiling stars all in San Diego to promote their work.

The tone of the event is inherently more casual than other promotional junkets, due it to it being primarily a science fiction and fantasy convention.

So stars are often seen taking advantage of this as they dress down in fun casual attire, pull funny faces, and appear far more relaxed than they have license to be at more glamorous events.

Spiderman's Andrew Garfield was spotted pulling all sorts of quirky faces as he posed on the Comic-Con backdrop, surely pulling plenty of laughs from fans.

Other actors such as Bones' David Boreanaz, True Blood star Joe Manganiello and SNL alum Bill Hader also left their suits at home and wore casual t-shirts and cheeky smiles.

Performing at the event on Friday were heavy metal superstars Metallica.

The legends put on an energetic show which surely wowed the crowds that have flocked to San Diego this weekend.
