Daisy Lowe looks sexy in a plunging black gown but accidentally shows off her knickers at GQ Awards

Daisy Lowe looked stunning as she walked onto the GQ Men Of The Year Awards red carpet.

Wearing a plunging black gown, the model also displayed her slim legs through the dress's split panel skirt.

But while the ensemble was on the perfect side of sophisticated sexy, sadly a slight wardrobe malfunction left Daisy, 24, showing off more of her knickers than she was hoping to.

Despite the flash of her undies - which may well have been part of the dress - Daisy's sultry red lips draws attention to her English rose face, with a sweep of black eye-liner on her upper lids to finish off the vintage look.

With her hair tousled into loose waves past her shoulders, the model exuded retro sex appeal, enhanced by the diamond and pearl necklace, statement ring and velvet handbag that accessorised the outfit.

Finished off with a pair of red patent T-bar heels, Daisy certainly wanted to make an entrance to the mens' magazine Awards on Tuesday night.

The fact that her ex-boyfriend Matt Smith was also in attendance may or may not have had something to do with her stellar effort, for if they did bump into one another, she certainly would have been happy with her presentation.

The former Doctor Who arrived with another woman on his arm, but thankfully for single Daisy, it was his sister.

No doubt the event would have drudged up fond memories for the pair, as they attended the 2011 GQ Awards as a couple.

However, the 24-year old only had eyes for one man at the show... one Justin Timberlake who had rushed over to the ceremony after performing at a special pre-recorded Live Lounge at BBC Radio 1.

The popstar had arrived just in time to present the Designer Award to Tom Ford, but also made sure to give a shout out to his friend Pharrell Williams, who won Performer Of The Year.

Daisy enjoyed the masculine show with her friend Alexa Chung, who had arrived back into the country from America a few days before.

It may have been the big night in the showbiz calendar to toast the men of the year, but it was certainly the ladies who brought in the glamour on Tuesday night.

Especially as the glamorous showbiz ladies seemed to all be vying for attention in a series of flesh baring ensembles.

It was the likes of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Daisy Lowe who particularly stood out in their daring outfits.

Flashing the flesh: Daisy Lowe ensured eyes were on all the females on Tuesday night as she walked the red carpet at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards

Model Rosie wore a low cut white frock which perfectly emphasised her catwalk figure.

But it was Daisy who showed off even more flesh in a black frock which split completely up the side to reveal her entire leg - and even her undergarments.

And if that wasn't enough she also showed off her voluptuous curves with the plunging cut.

Daisy seemed confident in the number grinning from ear to ear as she posed for photographs while showing off her pointy red heels.

She showed off her petite waist with the cream coloured top which had large shoulder pads incorporated into it.

Polo matches are the perfect occasions for dressing up in a flamboyant but elegant outfit.

And Daisy Lowe made sure she stood out from the crowd wearing a chic striped dress at the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup at Cowdray Park Polo Club in Midhurst.

The English model, 24, looked sweet enough to eat in the chocolate brown, lemon yellow and bright blue striped creation.

The open neckline of the dress was perfect for the summer heat while the voluminous skirt added a touch of fun.

Daisy completed her look with a pair of cream heeled wedge sandals, adding even more height to her model frame.

She wore her long brunette tresses loose and carried a large tan tote bag for all her summer essentials.

The hardworking model and actress has recently starred in the film Confine, and is set to film romance drama Geography of the Heart, which is currently shooting in cities around the world.

She told the Mirror: ‘I love gritty roles and am keen to do any roles where the script is brilliant. I go where the wind takes me and it’s taken me to some nice places so far.’

Meanwhile other celebrities at the event included model Portia Freeman, who went for a more casual look in a dog-tooth print skirt and a short sleeved red sweater.
