She's caused a wave of controversy after her notorious MTV VMAs performance, but Miley Cyrus is set to cause a bit more hysteria after revealing a sneak peak of her new single cover.

Miley, 20, is set to release Wrecking Ball next Monday but couldn't help tease the promo pic via Twitter on Thursday.

The risqué photo shows Miley perched seductively on a wrecking ball, dressed in nothing but a cropped white vest top and knickers, exposing her super slim physique.

The photo captured Miley in a moment as she swung to and fro clutching onto the thick chain attached to the wrecking boulder.

She teamed her next-to-nothing outfit with only a pair of maroon Dr. Martens boots, whilst painting her long nails white, also exposing her arm tattoo and punk mohawk. 

On Twitter the star told her fans: '#WreckingBall #comingMonday #VEVO.'

There is only one week to wait before Miley releases the highly-anticipated new music video, which follows on from her We Can't Stop single, from album Bangerz, which was full of twerking, partying and even a make-out session between Miley and a doll. 

Since her infamous VMA performance where she paraded around in a bra and knickers, whilst twerking and performing some other obscure movements with a foam finger, Miley has seemed to want to veer away from the cameras. 

On Wednesday, as she arrived at a recording studio, Miley covered her face with a heart-shaped Chanel handbag, as she has done on many occasions since the VMAs.

She didn't seem to mind showing her legs off though, as Miley wore a pair of denim cut-offs with flat black loafers.

The former Disney star hid her eyes behind round sunglasses, and covered her skinny torso with a black and white blouse, However, Miley's recent camera-shyness is unusually out of character for someone who regularly posts rauchy photos of herself on her own Instagram and Twitter pages.

In an interview with MTV, the daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus compared herself to Madonna and Britney Spears, who also made headlines when they locked lips during a passionate on air kiss 10 years ago at the 2003 VMAs.

The We Can't Stop songstress also revealed that Thicke was very much aware of what he was in for, and that they both knew 'they were about to make history'.

Speaking to MTV News in an exclusive interview, Miley said: 'I don't pay attention to the negative because I have seen this play out. How many times have we seen this play out in pop music?'

'You know now... you know what's happened. Madonna's done it, Britney's done it. Every VMA performance, anyone that performs...that's what you are looking for.

'You wanting to make history.  Me and Robin the whole time said "You know you are about to make history right now?'

But while she's taking ownership of her ballsy performance, Miley wasn't so keen with the additional attention it brought, as she tweeted her annoyance with a photographer on Wednesday

If any proof was needed that Karrueche Tran and Chris Brown were back together, it was watching Karrueche go for lunch in Beverly Hills driving the rapper's Porsche convertible.

The 25-year-old model drove the red sports car to Urth Cafe, where she was meeting a friend, and even matched up her shoes for the occasion.

Karrueche was showing off her incredibly toned physique in tiny ripped denim hotpants, a white vest top and red designer high top sneakers.

The Vietnamese-African model accessorised with a few slim gold chains, a wrist full of intricate bangles and a purple leather tote bag.

Karrueche's skin was glowing after her recent trip to Hawaii with Chris Brown, 24, where he played a gig and shot his latest music video, wearing little make-up and sported a new cornrow look for the occasion. 

The star even took a quick snap of her posing in the Porsche and tweeted the photo along with the words: 'these braids and my peanut head lol.'

Karrueche handed over Chris Brown's convertible to a valet assistant outside the organic coffee shop, on S Beverly Drive, who in return handed over a ticket to the star. 

She must be delighted be have rekindled her relationship with the 24-year-old rapper, who waited patiently in the wings after he dumped her to reunite with Rihanna – who he was convicted of assaulting in 2009 – but Tran and Brown reconciled when his romance with Rihanna fizzled out again.

Tran appeared to have reconciled with Brown after the singer suffered a seizure on August 9.

The notoriously on-and-off-again couple have recently been photographed driving around Los Angeles in the singer's red Porsche, but this could be one of the first times that Karrueche took his car out alone. 

Just two weeks ago Chris painted Karrueche's white Porsche with pink and blue monster faces, which is probably why she opted to go out in Chris' car for her coffee date.

Meanwhile, Rihanna's fans have dissed Karreuche on Twitter after she posted 'you can't buy class' on Wednesday evening. 

Not long after RiRi's followers mocked the model tweeting at her: 'You can't buy anything @karrueche' and 'you can't buy gas @karrueche'

Rihanna clearly got a kick from the Tweets and reposted them on her own page but soon appeared to had taken them down.

Vanessa also sported some leather boots, a matching leather bag and a floppy purple sunhat to shade her eyes on the bright and sunny day.

Some eclectic bits of jewelry - including a silver pendant and several rings - rounded out the outfit.

Vanessa has been promoting her new movie The Frozen Ground, in which she stars alongside Nicolas Cage and John Cusack.

The thriller, which opened Friday, is based on the real-life hunt in the 1980s for Alaskan serial killer Robert Hansen.

It's one of several darker projects Vanessa has taken on recently; she starred in the raunchy Spring Breakers and plays a runaway pregnant teen in the upcoming movie Gimme Shelter.

The 20-year-old is shown wearing a short-cropped bustier and cut-off denim shorts while bending her body sideways with her arms behind her head in New York.

Emerging from her chauffeur-driven SUV, the star didn't mind the rain as she flashed plenty of flesh in her barely-there outfit.

Black combat boots, a flashy black and gold silk bomber jacket, small red handbag and plenty of silver bling around her neck completed the striking look.

The singer recently admitted that she's taking hair growth vitamin supplement Viviscal and 'tugging' on her short locks every night in an attempt to regrow her mane.

So it's not surprising that she was still rocking the quirky high twisted pigtails she debuted days ago atop her head for the outing.

Currently recording her new album, Bangerz, the songstress had her earpieces dangling aound her neck as she emerged from the studio session.

The former Hannah Montana star's fourth studio album is officially set for an October 8 release and features collaborations with Pharrell, Future and Lukasz 'Dr Luke' Gottwald.

American songwriter/producer Dr Luke is reportedly in talks to join the judging panel of American Idol this season.

If he signs on the dotted line, he will reportedly join returning judges Keith Urban and Jennifer Lopez, as well as fellow newbie Scooter Braun, who is also said to be in talks with the reality singing competition.

Meanwhile, Miley's fiancé, Liam Hemsworth, kept himself busy in California on Thursday as his other half attended to business on the East Coast.

The 23-year-old Australian hunk was spotted filling up his Hybrid SUV in sunny Los Angeles, looking smart in navy blue pants, a white V-neck T-shirt, light-blue checked shirt, which he wore open, and grey shoes.

The couple have rarely spent any time together in recent months as their careers continue to keep them apart, leading to speculation that they had split up.

However, they put rumours to rest as they cosied up at the Hollywood premiere of Liam's latest film, Paranoia, earlier this month.

Her legs have become amongst the most well-known in the music industry due to her love of shorts.

So it was no surprise that Pixie Lott slipped into yet another tiny pair as she attended WAG! The Musical on Wednesday evening alongside her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire.

Shunning the glamour loved by WAGs and the usual formal dress one wears to the theatre the  22-year-old kept it low-key, showing off her legs as she supported a pal taking part in the production at the Charing Cross Theatre.

Looking perhaps more dressed for a beach than a theatre the Mama Do singer wore the tiny shorts with a black and white striped vest. 

Her long blonde hair was styled atop her head, falling across her face as she left the venue, with a huge grin on her face – suggesting the show had gone down well.

Completing her look the Essex born star again stuck to a style she knows and love – a pair of loafers – this time in a very showbiz shade of gold.

Taking to Twitter after the show Pixie praised her pal, Daisy Wood-Davis, writing: ‘My pal @DaisyLou90 was brilliant as always tonight! Go DWD!! XXX’

Pixie and Oliver celebrated three years together last month but the younger popstar admitted that she wasn’t planning on walking down the aisle any time soon.

Celebrating finishing her third album, which is thought to drop in January of this year, at V Festival she told Reveal: ‘I'm too young [for marriage] I think right now, but I love Ollie, he's just so lovely.’

WAG! The Musical, written by Belvedere Pashun and directed by Alison Pollard, finishes its run at the Charing Cross Theatre on August 24.
