X FACTOR babe Nicole Scherzinger last night revealed her split from F1 race ace Lewis Hamilton had left her feeling LONELY.
And the former Pussycat Doll confessed she had now been left with NO FRIENDS in London and was reduced to dining out with her own STAFF.LA-based Nicole, who split from Lewis this month after five years, said: “I don’t have anyone here, I don’t have my family, I don’t even have any friends here. My publicist is my closest friend.
“It gets lonely but I’m working all the time.
“You just make those sacrifices and they made me feel so at home last year. It is hard but you always make those sacrifices and it’s worth it.”
She told The Sun last year how she had been relying on British F1 star Lewis and his family for companionship when she wanted to socialise away from The X Factor.
And she admitted the strain of keeping their love alive while miles apart had taked its toll, saying: “I wouldn’t wish a long-distance relationship on anyone.”
Speaking backstage at the X Factor auditions in Wembley, Nicole said she was trying to fill the void by working.
She said: “I don’t know what I would do — I just don’t take days off. I have to be working so I’m grateful for that.
“If I’m not doing X Factor I put myself in the studio. I also love good food, so I’m getting to explore lots of different restaurants here.
“I take my publicist and my assistant as my dates, literally.”
And she is moving out of her hotel. “I’m going flat-hunting soon. I want to get a proper place,” she said. “Last time I had an apartment in a hotel and I want to get a place with windows.”
Nicole said she was enjoying being back on The X Factor for a second year but admitted she nearly turned it down so she could concentrate on her music career.
After fronting The Pussycat Dolls, Nicole left in 2010 to carve out a solo career, releasing debut album Killer Love the following year.
With a second solo collection due out in November, Nicole had doubts she could juggle her singing and judging duties.
She revealed: “I wasn’t sure. I’ve got to get the music right. I’m an artist and I haven’t felt confident enough with the stuff I’m doing.
“I haven’t felt like I’ve got enough of a cohesive album that I’m proud of to put out. And this takes up a lot of time, you know.
And I always commit myself 110 per cent. So I was torn. But then Gaz texted me and I said, ‘Yes’.
“Fortunately I love the people here and they give so much love back.”
TV Biz told how Nicole had been overshadowed by comeback queen Sharon Osbourne in some of the show’s earlier judging rounds.
But Nicole praised Shazza for helping give the panel an extra boost.
She said: “She has brought out the worst in all of us in the best way. I love Sharon.
“Last year when they asked, ‘Who do you want back?’... I actually said Sharon — Mrs O — because she brought me on to X Factor.
“She took me under her wing and she is really lovely as a woman. It’s really nice to see other women in the industry who are kind and give empowerment to others. That’s rare.
“Girls, we’re catty and there’s insecurity. But she’s a special breed, she’s just awesome. She’s outrageous and fun and a riot.”
She added: “I look at Mrs O as the queen of this show because she was here the first four years. And Simon is definitely the king of it. I wouldn’t be here without her.”
Nicole revealed she has penned a song with 2012 winner James Arthur.
And while she is back in Blighty, she plans to hook up with Rylan Clark, her outrageous act from last year’s show, scotching rumours they had fallen out after she said she had “created a monster” by backing him.
She said: “We never broke up! I said I created a monster in a good way. He’s so busy!
“I talked to him last night and we’re trying to figure out when we can go out for dinner.
“He’s my new date. I’ve seen all my boys except for Ry.”
